Below rates are guidelines for shoots to give us the best chance for an optimal profit margin.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

  • Full Day (8 hours or less) with 1 Lead DP and equipment: $1,500
  • If adding a second shooter to a full day, we like to get $1,200 for the second person which includes the second camera
  • If client requests teleprompter or camera slider, we try to get $500 more for an equipment fee
  • Half day’s don’t really exist. Use your digression. Try to get at least $850. I normally go $950 for a half if I can get it
  • Drone add-on for a full day is $1,500
  • If they want drone for a portion, go for $750 for 3 drone flights
  • Hair and Makeup (HMU) is $850 for a full 8-hour day
  • Live stream technician and gear is $1,500 for a full day
  • Parking fees are normally $40 per car
  • Mileage is billed at $0.58/mile
  • General assistants on site should be at least $500 per day

VIDEO EDITING

  • Think $1K per minute of edited video
  • Simple 60-90 second video edit should be billed at $2,500 if we can get it
  • Sell edits with social media cutdowns and (2) rounds of client revisions
  • Stock music is billed at $50 per song
  • Voice Over work is billed at least $250 – try to get $500 for anything over 30 seconds long

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Try to get at least $1,500 for an 8-hour day
  • Most photographers bill hourly. If so, try to make at least $50 more on the per hour
