Use the following procedure when you need a COI generated for equipment that we are RENTING from someone else.

1. Call the Hartford at this number: 866-467-8730
2. Press the menu option for “Certificates”
3. Enter in the following Business Account Number: Business Owner’s (83SBAPS0543)
4. Get someone on the phone and ask to email them who the COI is for and attach these two documents to the email.
5. The reason you need to email them these documents is because they have to use these as the sample of what the rental house or person will need Evidence+of+Property and CERTIFICATE+OF+INSURANCE+(COI) (1
6. They may ask, “do you need both certificates?” – the answer is YES you do
7. They will put you on hold and come back on the line and tell you to check your email in 10-15 minutes with the COI’s generated
