Plugin will grab the thumbnail from Vimeo and set it as the featured image if the post has no featured image – for TrueU, but could be adjusted for other formats. It’s currently looking for the LearnDash course progression video.

Also have to authorize vimeo, just once:
How to get your Vimeo access token (one-time setup)
- Go to developer.vimeo.com/apps — sign in with your Vimeo account
- Click New App → give it any name (e.g. TrueU Thumbnails) → Create App
- Inside the app, click the Authentication tab
- Scroll to “Generate an Access Token”
- Under Scopes, tick ✅ Public and ✅ Private
- Click Generate — copy the token immediately (shown only once)
- Go to Tools → LDVT Vimeo Thumb in WordPress → paste the token → Save
Once saved, the plugin uses the authenticated API first on every lesson save, which works for all privacy settings including “Hide from Vimeo.”
