If you’re already in the office, you can push the “More” button and then “Forward,” enter the phone number you’d like to forward calls to. Most times you need to forward a call, however, you may not have access to your physical desk phone. In that situation, you can also use the CBV Web Portal.
Go to https://portal.chicagobusinessvoip.com/ and enter your credentials.
Your username is your TP email address. Your password was assigned when you first started, and then you had the opportunity to update the password the first time you logged in. (Hint: Try the company password). Your Account Name is True Productions.
Once you’re logged into the portal, click “Devices and Settings” to access call forwarding. Type in your phone number, and hit save, and calls will be forward to your other number.
The other items are settings to control the experience. “Keep Caller ID” will display the same Caller ID info as comes through to your office phone. If you leave “Keep Caller ID” unchecked, every call will look like it’s coming from the True Productions main line. This is up to personal preference.
Ring My VoIP phone controls whether or not the system will ring both your cell phone and your desk phone, or just your cell phone.
Here’s a quick video (no sound) here to show you where to find these settings if you’re having trouble.
NOTE: Make sure you stop forwarding calls when you’re done for the day. If you leave the box checked after hours, calls will continue to forward to you, and will not reach the main True Productions voicemail system if unanswered.
